Book publication (Title: I)

A humble offering to the Supreme Lord, this Tamil spiritual collection of poems has seen the public light at this time. The book is titled ‘Naan’ (நான்) referring to the spiritual ‘I’. My special thanks to Dr. Francis Clooney, Professor at the Harvard University’s Divinity School, an international expert in premodern Tamil spiritual literature for his very generous Foreword (முன்னுரை; https://projects.iq.harvard.edu/francisclooney/videos). Also, thanks to Thiru. Indra Soundararājan, an author and a spiritual speaker on various Saints, for his note, especially reminding Sri Ramana Maharshi and Sri Rāmānujāchārya (வாழ்த்துரை; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indra_Soundar_Rajan).

The publisher (Giri Trading Agency) has also made it available for purchase via Amazon and would make it available in the US as well.

The highest men (humans) are calm, silent, and unknown. They are the men who really know the power of thought; they are sure that, even if they go into a cave and close the door and simply think five true thoughts and then pass away, these five thoughts of theirs will live through eternity. Indeed such thoughts will penetrate through the mountains, cross the oceans, and travel through the world. They will enter deep into human hearts and brains and raise up men and women who will give them practical expression in the workings of human life.

Shri Ramaṇa Maharshi's selected verses from Vivekachūḍāmaṇi

This is a divine compilation of select Sanskrit verses by Bhagavān Shri Ramaṇa Maharshi from Vivekachūḍāmaṇi attributed to Shri Ādi Shankara. The Maharshi’s selections also include corresponding Tamil verses composed by Shri Bhikshu Shāstri (Ulaganātha Swāmigal). While Shri Shankara is universally popular for his enormous contributions to Advaita Vedānta, Shri Shāstri, hailing from the 19th century Thiruvidaimarudur in the present Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is said to have translated multiple other works into Tamil including Ribhu Gita, Mukti Khanda of Suta Samhita and Suta Gita. English translation for the Sanskrit version is by Swami Mādhavānanda, the ninth President of Rāmakrishna Math and the Rāmakrishna Mission.

Swami Vivekanand(h)a's 150th birth anniversary

Truth is one, the wise call it by many names - Swami Vivekanand(h)a quoting the Rig Ved(h)a 1.164.46

“… In a way, he ‘was successful’ with his message so much so that his name has been erased out of it, which I don’t think he would have minded. That, I don’t think Swami Vivekanand(h)a was interested in perpetuating his name to all eternity. I think he was interested in having people wake up to their own divinity….” – Pravarajika Gitaprana, NY
